Cooperation agreement between ISESCO and Nizami Ganjavi International Center signed in Baku
At the close of Baku Global Forum today evening, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
The agreement was signed for ISESCO by its Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, and for the Center by Ms. Vaira Vike Freiberga, Former President of Latvia, Co-president of Nizami Ganjavi International Center. The agreement provides for cooperation between the two parties to promote cultural diversity; strengthen international solidarity to spread human common values, interfaith coexistence, intercultural dialogue at the national, regional and international levels; encourage advanced research in areas of common interest; and support the national and regional efforts seeking to achieve sustainable development and good governance. It also provides for cooperation to hold a number of conferences, seminars and workshops; and conduct research works and studies in areas of common interest.
On this occasion, Dr Altwaijri presented ISESCO Medal to Ms Vaira Vike Freiberga in appreciation of her sustained support to the relations between ISESCO and the Center. He also presented ISESCO Medal to Ms Ana Birchall, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Romania, Honorary Member of the Center.
