ICESCO, KSGAAL Release Translated Reports on the State of Arabic Language Education in Nine Countries Across the Islamic World

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in partnership with the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), has published five reports in English on the state of Arabic language education in Malaysia, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Ghana, as well as four reports in French on the state of Arabic language education in Senegal, Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso.
The reports include detailed data on educational institutions, covering the number of faculty members, learners, curricula, teaching methods, technologies used, and assessment methods, in addition to an analysis of the professional value of graduates. They also identify the most significant challenges facing Arabic language education, proposing practical solutions to develop educational policies and strengthen coordination among relevant stakeholders.
These reports represent a significant step toward building a comprehensive knowledge base on Arabic language education. They also serve as a reference for academic institutions in developing curricula and educational programs, while further strengthening the global standing of the Arabic language as a medium of communication that showcases Arab culture and Arab-Islamic civilization.
It is worth noting that these reports are part of a series of 30 reports discussed during the International Symposium on the State of Arabic Language Education in the World, which was held at ICESCO headquarters in Rabat in February 2025.
