ICESCO Congratulates Saudi Arabia for Winning the Right to Host the 2034 World Cup

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) extends its warmest congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister, may Allah preserve them, on the occasion of winning the right to host the 2034 World Cup.
Commending the major accomplishments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at all levels, including football, ICESCO views Saudi Arabia’s hosting of this global event as an opportunity to showcase the outstanding aspects of the Islamic nations’ rich cultural heritage and civilization to the world, thus reinforcing the values of coexistence and peace, and civilizational dialogue.
Furthermore, ICESCO reaffirms its willingness to provide all forms of support and assistance to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in successfully organizing the 2034 FIFA World Cup and publicizing the unique cultural and historical heritage of the Kingdom.
Moreover, ICESCO stresses the importance of harnessing synergies to leverage sports, especially football, to contribute to sustainable development, given its widespread popularity and substantial impact on different populations.
