Dr. Salim M. Al-Malik, Director-General (DG) of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) met with Mr. Abdelhamid Abdaoui, Ambassador of Algeria to Morocco, to explore ways to promote cooperation between ICESCO and Algeria.

During the meeting held on Tuesday, November 17, at ICESCO headquarters in Rabat, the two parties discussed several proposals to promote cooperation, including the creation of an ICESCO Chair at an Algerian university.

The DG also commended Algeria’s commitment to paying its contribution to ICESCO’s budget, as the country has already paid its 2019 share and is in the process of paying the 2020 contribution.
