Coordination Meeting between ISESCO and KSA General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection

A coordination meeting between the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia was held today at ISESCO headquarters in Rabat. The meeting, which was chaired by ISESCO Deputy Director General Dr. Amina Al Hajri and Mr. Hussein Al-Qahtani, Director General of Information and Public Relations and Spokesperson of the Authority, was attended by a number of officials from ISESCO Directorates and Centers concerned.

During the opening session of the meeting, two addresses were delivered by Dr. Al Hajri, on behalf of ISESCO Director General Dr. Salem Mohammed AlMalik, and Mr. Al-Qahtani. Both addresses underlined the importance of the Award of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Environmental Management in the Islamic World (KSAAEM) at the Islamic and international levels, emphasizing its role in motivating researchers and promoting scientific research in the environmental field to serve sustainable development and foster international efforts in this area.

Afterward, the academic report and the jury’s report on KSAAEM 2018-2019 were presented and discussed. The preparations for the 8^th Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers to be held at ISESCO headquarters on 2-3 October, and the draft of the new website of the KSAAEM were also presented.
