    The Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr. Salim Mohammed AlMalik received this morning in his office theChargé d’Affaires at the Brunei Darussalam Embassy in Rabat Mr. Awangku Haji Shahrin bin Pengiran Haji Bakar.The two parties explored ways to foster cooperation between the Government of Brunei Darussalam and ISESCO in its fields of competence, within the framework of the 2019-2021 Action Plan.The parties also discussed the activities planned in Brunei Darussalam on the occasion of the Celebration of Bandar Seri Begawan as 2019 Capital of Islamic Culture for the Asian Region.

    For the record, Brunei Darussalam has been a member of ISESCO since 1985.Its wonderful culture, which has enriched Islamic civilization and contributed to human cultural prosperity earned Bandar Seri Begawan the title of 2019 Capital of Islamic Culture for the Asian Region at the 9th Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers held in Muscat, Oman.
