ISESCO condemns churches and hotels blasts in Sri Lanka
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly condemned today’s series of blasts which targeted many churches and hotels in Sri Lanka, killing no less than 160 people and injuring hundreds during their Easter celebration according to international news agencies and local police statement.
ISESCO Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, described this heinous attack as a crime against humanity which reveals the ugly face of hatred and extremism; hinders the international efforts to promote the values of peace, coexistence and interreligious respect; and leads the world to a cycle of violence and religious and sectarian fanaticism.
