ISESCO participates in 1st Edition of International Bakhshi Art Festival, in Termez, Uzbekistan
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will take part at the 1st Edition of the International Bakhshi Art Festival, to be organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in Termez, on 6-10 April 2019.
This International Festival, which includes various artistic and intellectual activities, seeks to showcase the intangible heritage and oral expressions, promote cultural dialogue, and preserve and promote cultural diversity through supporting creativity. About 30 countries are expected to take part in this event.
The festival coincides with the proclamation of 2019 as the Year of Heritage in the Islamic World. ISESCO is represented in this event by Mr Najib Rhiati, Director of Culture.
It is worth mentioning that the Republic of Uzbekistan has been a Member State of ISESCO since 2017.
