Meeting on the TAFAHUM program of students, teachers and researchers exchange between Member States universitieskicks off at ISESCO headquarters
A meeting on the TAFAHUM program for the exchange of students, teachers and researchers between universities in Member Stateskicked off this morning at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in Rabat. The meeting is held by ISESCO in coordination with the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) on 10-11 July.
At the opening session, addresses were delivered byISESCODeputy Director General Dr. Amina Al-Hajri and General Director for Science and Technology of the OIC General Secretariat Mr. Irfan Shaukat.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Islamic Universities in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sudan, and Uganda and several directors and heads of ISESCO specialized centers.
It is noteworthy that the TAFAHUM project for the exchange of students, teachers and researchers between ISESCO Member States universities was adopted by the 7th Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held in Rabat on 18-19 December 2014.
The FUIW Executive Council, at the end of its twenty-second session held at ISESCO headquarters in December 2018, adopted the report on the TAFAHUM Program for the exchange of students, researchers and professors, and called upon universities to support it,and encourage the exchange of students, faculty and researchers.
