The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) held a dialogue session under the theme “Inspiring Generations and Building Futures,” with the participation of Ambassador Namira Negm, Director of the African Migration Observatory of the African Union, alongside leaders of ICESCO and several ICESCO Youth Peace Ambassadors. The session was organized as part of the 4th edition of the Leadership Training in Peace and Security (LTIPS) program.

In her keynote address during the session, held on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, Ambassador Namira Negm addressed pressing issues concerning youth, calling on ICESCO’s Youth Peace Ambassadors to assume responsibility and play their role in transforming the image of the African continent through education and knowledge exchange.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed AlBanyan, Head of the Education Sector and Director of the Translation and Publishing Center at ICESCO, reviewed the Organization’s efforts in the field of education, particularly with regard to the education of women and girls. Mr. Mohammed Nasser, Director of the Human Capital Department at ICESCO, then highlighted the various opportunities the Organization offers young people to participate in and benefit from its programs and capacity-building workshops. Meanwhile, Ms. Ramata Almamy Mbaye, Director of ICESCO’s Social and Human Sciences Sector, discussed the various initiatives and activities implemented by the Sector to ensure a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to youth empowerment, peacebuilding, and social development.

During the session, Mr. Alioune Ndiaye, Head of the Peace Division within ICESCO’s Social and Human Sciences Sector, delivered a presentation on the LTIPS program, its global impact, and its future prospects.

The session also featured the official introduction of the fourth cohort of ICESCO Youth Peace Ambassadors and concluded with an open dialogue between the speakers and the young participants on youth leadership, the roles of education and peace in social development, migration, and capacity building.
