Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), congratulated Dr. Sidi Ould Tah on his election as President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Dr. AlMalik stated that Dr. Ould Tah was elected from among four candidates, winning 76% of the votes—a reflection of his prominent international economic status. He noted that this election marks another major achievement in his distinguished financial and economic career, adding to his leadership roles as former Minister of Economic Affairs and Development in Mauritania and former Director General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA).

Dr. AlMalik extended his best wishes to Dr. Sidi Ould Tah in leading the African Development Bank.
