The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) expresses its heartfelt condolences to the leadership, government, and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the victims of Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash in western Kazakhstan today, Wednesday, December 25, 2024. ICESCO also wishes a speedy recovery to those injured in this tragic incident.

Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, ICESCO Director-General, extends his sincere sympathy to His Excellency President Ilham Aliyev, as well as to the government and people of Azerbaijan, reaffirming ICESCO’s full solidarity with Azerbaijan, one of the foremost supporters of the Organization’s programs and initiatives, during this time of grief. Dr. AlMalik also commended the relief efforts made to assist the survivors of this incident.

On behalf of all ICESCO staff, Dr. AlMalik expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic accident. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the deceased His vast mercy, make Paradise their eternal abode, and provide solace and strength to their loved ones.
