    ICESCO Holds Training Session on Using Strategic Foresight for Decision-Making, in Tunisia

    The Center of Strategic Foresight at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in coordination with the Organization’s Department of Legal Affairs and International Standards, and partnership with Tunis International Center for Digital Cultural Economy, held a training session on strategic foresight for decision-making for the benefit of several young entrepreneurs to introduce the concepts and mechanisms of strategic foresight and train them on using such skills in their work business.

    During the opening session, held on Wednesday, January 19, 2021, at the Cultural Complex, in the City of Culture, Republic of Tunisia, Ms. Saloua Abdelkhalek, Director-General of the Tunis International Center for Digital Cultural Economy, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to ICESCO for co-holding the training session, which will help beneficiaries get acquainted with the mechanisms and methodologies of strategic foresight to develop their future projects. She also called for strengthening the relationship between ICESCO and the Center through the implementation of programs and other activities aimed at promoting the cultural, digital and creative economy.

    For his part, Dr. Kais Hammami, Director of ICESCO Center of Strategic Foresight, highlighted the importance of foresight within ICESCO’s new vision, calling on participants at the training to benefit from foresight advantages in building and developing creative projects, especially in light of the current global transformations and changes.

    In his address, Mr. Mohamed Hadi Shili, Director of ICESCO Department of Legal Affairs and International Standards, valued the Tunisian experience in guiding creative young people in the cultural and digital field and the special attention that the Tunisian government pays to the creative and cultural industries through the adoption of a legislative and structural framework aimed at promoting cultural and digital economy and supporting youth, women and girls.

    This training session is part of the action plan of ICESCO Center of Strategic Foresight, which aims at providing strategic foresight mechanisms and methodologies for young people and publicizing this culture at the regional and international levels and in the ICESCO Member States.
