ISESCO Director General meets with Saudi Arabia IPA Director General to talk prospects of developing ISESCO Organizational Chart

The Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Salim Mohammed AlMalik, today in Riyadh, met with the Director General of Saudi Arabia’s Institute of Public Administration (IPA), H.E. Dr. Mushabab bin Aaidh Al-Qahtani.

The meeting discussed the potential contribution of IPA to designing ISESCO Organizational Chart, in such a way that translates the objectives of its new and developmental vision. The meeting resulted in the agreement of the Institute to draft a new chart for ISESCO that keeps up with work changes and requirements. Experts from IPA will visit ISESCO headquarters and meet with its senior officials and staff to learn more about the work nature of ISESCO General Directorate, and take into consideration their suggestions concerning the chart. The two parties also agreed to complete the study on ISESCO Organizational Chart in three to four months. The study will include designing the new ISESCO Organizational Chart, identifying tasks and writing job descriptions for each task, in line with the new international standards and specifications.

It is noteworthy that IPA was founded by virtue of Royal Decree No. 93 of 10.4.1961, as a body-corporate, autonomous government agency. The purpose of its establishment was to increase the efficiency of public employees and build their capacities, so as to be capable of shouldering their responsibilities and using their jurisdiction in a manner that would upgrade the level of administration and support the foundation of national economic development. IPA contributes to the administrative organization of government departments, offers consultations on administrative problems referred to it by government ministries and agencies, undertakes administrative research works, and enhances cultural ties in the field of public administration.

The Institute has prepared the respective organizational charts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), League of Arab States, Gulf Cooperation Council, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Islamic University of Medinah, and Arab Organization for Administrative Development, as well as many ministries and governmental and civil institutions. The Institute is one of the major houses of expertise and consulting at the Arab and Islamic levels, ahead of many international consulting offices.
