II International Youth Forum for Multiculturalism and Peace: Youth as Ambassadors of Peacebuilding in a Multicultural Environment
In the framework of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) strategic orientations on Youth development and the Social and Human Sciences sector (SHS) approach on Peace at 360°, ICESCO in partnership with Baku International Multiculturalism Centre organized the 2nd edition of the International Youth Forum for Multiculturalism and Peace under the theme “Youth as ambassadors of peacebuilding in a multicultural environment”.
This forum brought together almost 70 youth participants from over 50 countries with the aim of promoting the values of multiculturalism, encouraging intercultural dialogue and strengthening interfaith understanding.
This forum featured series of visits to historical sites such as the tomb of National Leader Hydar Aliyev and the Alley of Martyrs, workshops conducted by representatives from different international organizations including ICESCO, Nordic Center, the African Union Migration Observatory focusing on different themes related to peace and security. Alongside, these workshops and official ceremonies, this forum was an opportunity to celebrate the different cultures and religion during the cultural exchange presentations, which gave every country representatives opportunity to present their cultures in a very interactive and inclusive manner.
