ICESCO and Nouakchott University hold a training session on manufacturing renewable energy equipment.
ICESCO organized a two-day training session in partnership with the Faculty of Science and Technology of Nouakchott University and in cooperation with the Mauritanian National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science. The training aimed to promote innovation and equip students with the skills to develop solutions for harnessing renewable energies in the industry. The session, held at Nouakchott University, was part of the celebration of Nouakchott, Culture Capital in the Islamic World for 2023 and concluded on July 26, 2023. During the training, Mr. Mohamed Ould Sidi Abdallah emphasized the importance of innovation for industrial development and commended ICESCO’s ongoing support for Mauritania. Mr. Mohamed Fadel Deida highlighted mechanisms for developing light equipment industries in renewable energies to contribute to sustainable development. Dr. Foued El Ayni represented ICESCO and reviewed the organization’s efforts in supporting Member States’ green industries and the use of renewable energies to preserve the environment.
