ICESCO recognizes the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in improving efficiency, innovation, and decision making across various domains. Our AI systems and tools shall avoid replicating human biases.
We will achieve this by:
- Committing to upholding the ethical principles – Transparency, Accountability, Fairness, Privacy & Safety in all AI-related activities.
- Establishing a dedicated AI governance structure responsible for overseeing compliance with this policy & procedure.
- Continually examining ways in which we can improve our use of AI to protect and enhance our business and continual improvement in Information Technology AI Management System.
- Adhering to the Data Quality, Data Privacy and Data Safety principles for ethical and responsible data management in AI projects.
- Collaborating with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and civil society organizations, to advance responsible AI practices and contribute to the development of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Increasing transparency regarding data and AI use;
- Complying with all applicable requirements as well as climate change regulations and continually improving the effectiveness of AI management system.
- Creating an environment of teamwork, sustainable growth and innovative approach.
- Establishing a diversity team that will examine the development, underlying assumptions, and data used by AI tools; and
- Providing ongoing training and awareness programs to employees.
AI policy & procedure shall be communicated to all employees, contractors, and stakeholders and all employees shall ensure to follow this policy & procedure.
