    ICESCO and COMSATS University discuss joint project implementation to face dangers of electronic games

    Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and Dr. Muhammad Tabassum Afzal, Rector of the University of COMSATS Pakistan, held a meeting at the University’s headquarters in Islamabad, to discuss prospects for cooperation between ICESCO and the University in the fields of scientific research, scholarships, and the development of a project to address the dangers of electronic games.

    During the meeting, held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023), Dr. AlMalik stated that ICESCO’s vision stresses the importance of developing fruitful cooperation relations with various prominent universities inside and outside the Islamic world, creating several scientific chairs at these institutions, and supporting their modernization endeavors and efforts to adopt advanced and non-traditional educational curricula.

    For his part, Dr. Tabassum Afzal praised ICESCO’s efforts in the field of education and scientific research, expressing the university’s readiness to provide a number of scholarships for the benefit of the youth from ICESCO Member States to study at COMSATS, particularly in the fields of science, technology and space science.

    Following the bilateral meeting, the ICESCO Director-General and the Rector of COMSATS University chaired a meeting attended by an ICESCO delegation and a group of university officials and faculty members.
