Next Thursday: Opening of “Painting of Hope” at ICESCO’s Contemporary Art Gallery

    19 May 2021

The Headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in Rabat, will host the Fine Art Exhibition “Painting of Hope” that “ICESCO’s Contemporary Art Gallery” organizes in partnership with the Arab Group at the charitable Diplomatic Circle of Rabat, in cooperation with Karmadi’s Studio in Rabat, as part of ICESCO’s celebration of the Islamic World Heritage Month, under the theme “United for Art and Heritage.”

The exhibition, which starts on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 05:00 p.m. (Rabat time), will feature more than 100 paintings of 28 artists from Morocco as well as other artists from many Arab countries. The proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be allocated to Ibn Sina Hospital, in Rabat, to treat children with cancer.

“ICESCO’s Contemporary Art Gallery,” which will host a permanent plastic art exhibition, aims to promote the cultural visions that fulfill the Islamic world’s aspirations for modernization and creativity, develop creative structures, encourage creators and artists to open up to global experiences in culture and arts and support creativity and cultural industries in the Islamic world. The Gallery also demonstrates ICESCO’s interest in ensuring the right to cultural sustainability and promoting creative arts.
