The Center of Foresight and Artificial Intelligence at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) participated in the launch of the “Strategic Foresight Employment in Decision-Making at the Tunisian Ministry of Education” initiative. This event was in collaboration with the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture, and the National Center for Training and Skill Development. A training workshop on “Strategic Foresight for Decision-Making” was held for the benefit of senior officials and employees from the Ministry and the Commission, aiming to equip them with the necessary skills to support an educational system that adapts to developments and can face future challenges.
The workshop, held in Tunis on July 31 and August 1, 2024, aimed to familiarize participants with the fundamental concepts and tools of strategic foresight. Its sessions included rich discussions on the importance of foresight in predicting future challenges and developing effective responses. Participants also learned about data analysis mechanisms, foresight scenario development, and how to incorporate these insights into their administrative activities and daily work.
In this context, Dr. Kais Hammami, Head of ICESCO’s Center of Foresight and Artificial Intelligence, emphasized the importance of adopting a foresight approach and intensively integrating it into ministries of ICESCO Member States to make proactive and correct decisions. He highlighted the Organization’s commitment to promoting a culture of foresight for a better future.
