    ICESCO Calls on Member States to Participate in Sharjah Government Communication Award

    The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) calls on its Member States to submit nominations for the 2025 edition of the Sharjah Government Communication Award, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. The award aims to raise awareness of the importance of government communication and to promote best professional practices in the field, particularly among youth.

    ICESCO’s call for participation reflects its role as a strategic partner in the 2025 edition of the award, which was established in 2012 to recognize and showcase the most impactful communication practices benefiting communities. This initiative forms part of the Organization’s broader efforts to enhance the institutional capacities of its Member States in the field of communication and to support pioneering media initiatives with a developmental focus.

    The award comprises several categories, including Awards for Government Agencies, International Organizations, and the Private Sector; Individual Awards; Best Innovators Competition in Smart Communication; Jury Awards; and Partner Awards. It invites a broad spectrum of nominations spanning diverse areas of communication.

    The deadline for participation is 24 July 2025, and the award ceremony will be held on 11 September 2025. Interested participants must comply with the following requirements:

    1- Create a participant account;

    3- Attach a video file not exceeding 5 minutes;
    4- Attach a Word document outlining the general concept of the initiative, its relevance, overall objective, and explaining strategies, outcomes, and action plans according to each category’s main themes;
    5- Limit the document to no more than 1,000 words, using “Simplified Arabic” font size 14 for Arabic documents, and “Times New Roman” font size 14 for English ones;
    6- Prepare a brief summary not exceeding 250 words highlighting the main points of the primary document.
