    ICESCO and Libyan National Commission organize a seminar on value teaching in primary education

    The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in collaboration with the Libyan National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, held a seminar in Tripoli, focusing on teaching values in primary education for the benefit of education professionals. The Event discussed the latest approaches to value teaching, methods of education in values, and mechanisms for integrating them into curricula.

    The Seminar, which kicked off on Monday 19 December 2023, spanning three days, is held under the patronage of Dr. Musa Almaghrif, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Libyan National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science. It seeks to equip specialized education professionals with the tools to integrate values into primary education curricula, imparting advanced experiences and skills to instill values of moderation and tolerance, and reinforce the role of educational institutions in promoting citizenship, coexistence, and peace.

    During the seminar’s inauguration, Dr. Almaghrif and several Libyan officials commended ICESCO’s role in enhancing the educational process and supporting its Member States, including Libya.
