ICESCO Participates in Opening of Symposium in Rabat on Moroccan-Saudi Relations

As part of the celebration of Rabat as the Culture Capital in the Islamic world for 2022, the “Morocco Archives” Foundation, in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz House in Riyadh, and in partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), held a symposium and exhibition on Moroccan-Saudi relations between the past and the present.
During the opening session of this symposium, which started today, Wednesday (September 14, 2022) and will last for two days, Dr. Abdelilah Benarfa, ICESCO Deputy Director General, delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness to participate in the symposium held as part of ICESCO’s celebration of Rabat as Culture Capital in the Islamic World for the year 2022, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, thanking His Majesty for His continuous patronage of ICESCO’s activities and support to its civilized message, noting the exemplary fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the bonds of harmony and brotherhood that bind together the leaderships of the two countries.
Dr. Benarfa also pointed out that one of the most prominent features of this cooperation and coordination is the establishment of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, ICESCO, and several joint cultural and educational institutions, which will be reinforced today by the imminent opening of the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization at ICESCO Headquarters, in cooperation between ICESCO, the Muslim World League and the Mohammadia League of Scholars.
He also took the opportunity of holding this symposium to commend the fruitful cooperation between the Morocco Archives Foundation, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in the Kingdom of Morocco, the King Abdul Aziz House, and relevant civil society institutions, and their contributions to the Rabat celebration, wishing all the success for the symposium.
