ICESCO Participates in Webinar on Coordination Among Language Institutions to Serve Arabic Language

The Center of Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), participated on Saturday 13 August 2022, in a scientific webinar on coordination between language institutions to serve the Arabic language, held by King Salman International Complex for Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Directorate of World Encyclopedia of Arabic Literature, to discuss coordination between language institutions in the Arab world and relevant supporting means.
The webinar saw the participation of Dr. Majdy Haji Ibrahim, head of ICESCO Center of Arabic, and Dr. Anas H. Saeed Al-Nuaimi, Expert at the Center. Dr. Haji Ibrahim stressed the importance of coordination between language institutions in supporting related projects and the requirements and skills of teamwork, adding that language institutions cannot work alone as complementarity requires admitting the existence of gaps that must be bridged to achieve the desired objectives.
In his statement on the reality of coordination between language institutions in the Arab world and the main challenges, Dr. Al-Nuaimi reviewed several language institutions working in the field of the Arabic language in the Arab world, pointing out the attempts to coordinate between these institutions and the challenges which hinder the coordination efforts. In conclusion, he presented a set of recommendations and solutions to ensure the success of coordination between language institutions to serve the Arabic language.
