    The Arab Women’s Council awards the Shield of Excellence to ICESCO

    The Arab Women’s Council for Social Responsibility has awarded the Shield of Excellence to the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in recognition of its pioneering role in enhancing standards of excellence and sustainable development in society, as well as its support for the efforts of its Member States in its fields of competence.


    During the closing ceremony of the 6th Forum of the Arab Women Council in Dubai, Mrs. Lynna Daghlawi Moukarzel, President of the Council handed over the shield to Mrs. Sally Mabrouk, Director of the Office of ICESCO Director-General.

    In a speech delivered after the presentation of the shield, ICESCO’s representative thanked the Arab Women’s Council for Social Responsibility, on behalf of Dr. Salim M. Al-Malik, ICESCO Director-General for this tribute. She seized this opportunity to present ICESCO’ vision, which attaches special importance to adopting quality and excellence standards to ensure commitment to achieving sustainable development and the development of societies in its Member States.

    It is worth noting that the 6th Forum of the said Council was held on 15-16 June 2022, with the participation of high-level leaders and businesspersons from various Arab countries. It aimed to encourage women to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 based on collective responsibility to promote inclusive socio-economic development and protect the environment and ultimately become a roadmap to achieve a better and more sustainable future after the pandemic of COVID-19.
