Dr. Abdelilah Benarafa, Deputy Director-General (DG) of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), reaffirmed ICESCO’s pride in its fruitful cooperation with the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) in areas of common interest. “The Organization is keen to further enhance and foster this cooperation so as to contribute towards achieving sustainable development goals in the countries of the Islamic world,” noted the ICESCO official.

This statement came in an address he delivered during the opening session of the 27th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, which was held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, in Rabat, the Kingdom of Morocco.

In his address, the Deputy DG explained that ICESCO and ACAO have recently held intensive exchanges and technical meetings, which have culminated in the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in February 2022, outlining potential avenues of cooperation between the two Organizations.

At the close of his address, Dr. Benarafa reitrated ICESCO’s keenness to strengthen partnership with ACAO and conveyed his best wishes for a successful session.
