    Annual meeting of ISESCO Financial Control Committee kicks off

    Today morning, at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the annual meeting of the Financial Control Committee (FCC) of the ISESCO Executive Council, kicked off. The meeting is taking place until June 13.

    At the meeting’s opening session, ISESCO Deputy Director General, Dr. Amina Al Hajri, gave an address wherein she highlighted the key role the Committee plays in developing ISESCO’s administrative and financial performance through follow up and assessment.

    Afterwards, the representative of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, FCC Chairman, Mr. Youba Ould Cheikhna, commended the efforts of the Organization in the administrative and financial fields falling under its areas of competence. The Chairman also thanked the General Directorate for its good cooperation with the Committee, which helped it undertake its mission in the best conditions.

    The opening session was attended by the heads of sectoral directorates and specialized centers at the ISESCO General Directorate, ISESCO Financial Controller, and FCC members Messrs. Ahmad Muhammad Mezaal Al-Rikabi, representative of the Republic of Iraq; Mubarak Nabeel Hussain Mattar, representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain; and Abdul Hamid Cebba, representative of the Republic of Indonesia.

    During a procedural session, Mr. Youba Ould Cheikhna, representative of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, was re-elected as Chairman of the Committee’s current session, while Mr Mubarak Nabeel Hussain Mattar, representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain, was elected as Rapporteur. The Draft Agenda of the meeting was also adopted.

    The meeting’s agenda features holding working sessions on 10-13 June to take stock and follow up on the recommendations of the Committee concerning the financial balances for 2017, discuss the Director General’s Financial Report and Closing Accounts for the Financial Year 2018, examine the Draft Committee Report of the Audit Company for the Financial Year 2018, in the presence of the Company’s representative, the discussion of the Draft Report of the Committee’s Action, and approve and sign of the Final Report.
