New ISESCO Director General takes office and meets ISESCO staff members
Today afternoon, the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik, made a tour of the headquarters of the Organization during which he met the officials and staff members of the Sectoral Directorates and Specialized Centers at the General Directorate and inquired about aspects of the workflow process and the challenges faced by the staff members in the exercise of their duties. In this regard, ISESCO Director General instructed the heads of the Directorates and Centers to prepare a diagnosis report of the work challenges and suggestions to overcome them and suggest projects to boost staff performance based on an innovative vision likely to achieve the desired quantum leap for ISESCO. Such reports will be submitted to ISESCO Director General after the month of Ramadan.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik was appointed ISESCO Director General upon nomination by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and approval of ISESCO General Conference at its Third Extraordinary Session held on Thursday 9 May 2019 at the Bay La Sun Expo Center, King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah Al Mukarramah Area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As of 9 May 2019, Dr Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik has succeeded former Director General, Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, for the remaining period of his mandate ending on 31 December 2021 and will serve for a new one expiring on 31 December 2024.
