ISESCO extends financial support to CESWO in Suriname
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) extended financial support to the Center for Economic, Social and Scientific Studies (CESWO), based in Paramaribo, Republic of Suriname.
The support is part of ISESCO’s efforts to promote scientific research as set out in its Action Plan for 2019 and in response to the request of Suriname’s National Commission for ISESCO to support the Center’s research projects, such as publishing and translating manuscripts dealing with the social system in Suriname, and facilitating the preservation of the collected information for future generations, as well as to devote greater attention to science and scientists.
The financial support will benefit researchers, scientists, local and international students, anthropologists, demographers, economists, geographers, historians, linguists and sociologists.
