Azerbaijan President receives ISESCO Director General

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, today afternoon at the Presidential Palace in Baku, received the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, who provided him with a report on the cooperation relations between ISESCO and the Azerbaijani competent authorities for the period 2013-2018, along with a number of studies he contributed to intercultural dialogue and alliance of civilizations.

On this occasion, Dr Altwaijri expressed to President Aliyev his thanks and gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support to ensure the success of his duties, out of the belief in ISESCO’s civilizational mission.

From his part, President Aliyev praised Dr Altwaijri and lauded his efforts in making ISESCO an excellent organization with a distinguished position in the Islamic world and beyond. He also thanked him for his permanent support for the Republic of Azerbaijan, especially with regards to the question of Nagorno-Karabakh region occupied by Armenia and his keenness to promote fruitful relations with Azerbaijan.
