ISESCO condemns killing of two Palestinian teenagers in Gaza Strip by Israeli occupation forces
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has condemned the killing by the Israeli occupation forces of two Palestinian teenagers in Gaza strip last Friday during their participation in the peaceful March for Return.
Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General, said that the assassination of the two innocent teenagers Hasan Iyad Shalabi, 13, and Hamza Mohammad Shteiwi, 17, by the Israeli military live fire, in conjunction with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, is a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of this Convention and of the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
ISESCO Director General called on the international community, the international organizations and associations, and human rights organizations to condemn this crime, prevent the Israeli occupation authorities from attacking innocent children, and force them to abide by the international humanitarian law which guarantees special protection for children during armed conflicts.
