Workshop on Psycho-Social Approach and Well-Being

Objectives

Prepare the mental health and psychosocial guidelines announced by ICESCO as part of its Initiative «The Societies We Want».

Highlight approaches that have been adopted by all partners;

Promote the debate on mental health with a psychosocial approach and its focus on childhood;

Build fruitful cooperation with ICESCO and other organizations to protect children’s mental health and build their capacity.

Outcomes

Opportunities for cooperation are identified with Moroccan ministries and international organizations on the capitalization of the Training and Awareness Guide.

The modalities of the joint ICESCO-UNICEF training and awareness session in Morocco are established, in partnership with social workers and ministry representatives.

Preliminary results of the Guide’s content are shared with experts and institutional stakeholders and their comments are collected for finalization

Objectives

Highlight the approaches that have been adopted by all partners in the field of marriage, family, child protection, elderly and people with special needs in OIC Member States;

Present the draft framework for the development of the OIC Child Welfare Strategy;

Address the impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic through supporting entrepreneurship among women and youth.

Objectives

Advocate for greater consideration of the psychosocial dimension in policies and programs;

Shed light on the general context, theory and methodological framework of the guide;

Share the content of the Guide’s recommendations with experts from the Member States.

ICESCO Marathon: «Marathon for Social Cohesion and Community Resilience

Objectives

Promote social well-being, peace and community resilience through outdoor sports activities;

Promote inclusion in the practice of sports by encouraging the participation of people with disabilities;

Mobilize development and governmental actors around the cohesion of peace.

Outcomes

Increased awareness of the importance of sport as a vector for social cohesion and community resilience;

A gold medal and one trophy;

A bronze medal;
