Media Education: Horizons and Aspirations
Within the framework of the keenness of Naif Arab University for Arab Security Sciences to achieve the integration of joint efforts in developing the skills of Arab leaders and experts in various security fields, and building regional and international cooperation
with its partners to enhance mutual collaboration, particularly in the scientific domain, the scientific seminar entitled “Media Education: Prospects and Aspirations” will be held. This is in line with the implementation of the ninth Arab media plan for security
awareness and crime prevention, following the recommendations of the Arab Ministers of Information Council derived from the executive plan for security awareness and crime prevention. The seminar aims to shed light on Arab and international efforts in the field of security media, contributing to Naif Arab University for Security Sciences’ efforts in updating the media strategy in counterterrorism to enhance the concept of security media and emphasize its crucial role in achieving comprehensive security. This seminar is part of the university’s annual program for 2024, derived from the recommendations and plans of the Arab Ministers of Interior Council and based on the needs of Arab security agencies. Additionally, the seminar is convened to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (the scientific body of the Arab Ministers of Interior Council) and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, signed in 1999 and updated in 2021.
