ICESCO co-organizes three training sessions on teaching Arabic language in Thailand
The Center of Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers of ICESCO, in collaboration with Prince Songkla University, the Institute of Religious Missions from Jala Province, Thailand, and Dhad Language Educational Company from Saudi Arabia, organized three training sessions on teaching Arabic in the Kingdom of Thailand. These sessions were attended by a total of 180 participants, including teachers of Arabic for non-Arabic speakers, academics, and diplomatic staff. The first session, held in Bangkok from 18-20 July 2023, focused on “Arabic language for international communication” for academics and diplomatic staff from several countries. The second session, held on 22-23 July 2023 at Prince Songkla University, covered “Skills for teaching Arabic for non-Arabic speakers” and benefitted 70 participants from educational institutions in southern Thailand. The third session, held on 23-24 July 2023 at the Institute of Religious Missions, focused on modern strategies for developing Arabic language skills for non-Arabic speakers and was attended by over 60 Arabic language and religious education teachers from the Institute. The training sessions were supervised by Dr. Majdi Hajj Ibrahim and Dr. Youssef Ismaili from ICESCO Center of Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers, alongside local and international experts.
