    First Coordination Meeting between ISESCO and Education Relief Foundation kicks off

    Today morning at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), in Rabat, Dr. Salim Mohammed AlMalik, ISESCO Director General,  and Sheikh Manssour Bin Mussallam, President of the Educational Relief Foundation (ERF), presided the First Coordination Meeting between ISESCO and ERF, with the presence of the delegation accompanying Sheikh Manssour and the Directors of the Sectoral Directorates and Specialized Centers of ISESCO.

    At the opening session, Dr. AlMalik and Sheikh Manssour gave addresses wherein they stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of education and the need for action to develop action plans so as to provide high-quality working environments based on comprehensive and balanced education.

    Afterwards, the two parties signed a letter of intent which provides for the arrangements for holding the next consultation meeting of the Organization of Middle East and North Africa due to be held at ISESCO headquarters next October.

    The agenda of the meeting featured ways to promote the role of specialized civil society institutions in disseminating and promoting the values of balanced education for all. Besides, the meeting consulted on the review and reform of the national educational policies of ISESCO Member States so as to integrate the notion of balanced and inclusive education in these policies and promote leadership and partnership toward developing education in Africa.

    It is noteworthy that ISESCO and ERF signed a MoU on 2 April 2019 at ISESCO headquarters.
