New ALECSO Director General visits ISESCO

The Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Salim Mohammed AlMalik, received in his office this morning the new Director General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to improve the outstanding cooperative relations between the two organizations and the prospects for their development and expansion in the areas of common interest so as to serve the development goals of both organizations’ Arab Member States.

Afterwards, Dr. Salim and Dr. Mohamed chaired a working session attended by officials from the two organizations, during which they discussed the proposed areas of cooperation for the years 2020-2021.

It is noteworthy that the two organizations signed a cooperation agreement in 1984, which was renewed in 2013, and carried out a considerable number of programmes and activities in education, science, culture, and communication for the benefit of Member States.
