AlMalik, Director-General (DG)\nof the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization\n(ICESCO), discussed Wednesday, August 12, with Dr. G\u00f6tz Schmidt-Bremme,\nAmbassador of Germany to Morocco, the cooperation prospects between the two\nparties in education, science, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. AlMalik elaborated on ICESCO&#8217;s new, inclusive,\nand cooperation-oriented vision focusing on Member States and Muslim\ncommunities around the world. He added that the Organization redefined the\nadministrative and financial regulations on its Charter and developed a new\nObserver Status. He then called on Germany to join ICESCO as an observer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Discussions, at the Organization&#8217;s\nheadquarters in Rabat, also touched on ICESCO\u2019s implemented initiatives,\nprograms, and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus was to enable\nMember States to overcome the negative repercussions of the crisis. The DG\ncited the \u201cComprehensive Humanitarian Coalition\u201d initiative as an example of projects and\nprograms targeting the most vulnerable countries affected by the pandemic. He\nthen encouraged an active German participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ambassador Schmidt-Bremme underlined\nhis country&#8217;s readiness to cooperate with ICESCO, in accordance with its new\nvision, and welcomed the ICESCO\u2019s initiatives launched and the actions carried\nout during COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icesco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/ICESCO_DG_German_Ambassador_2-1024x575-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11663\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Salim M.
